The founder, owner, and manager of APF International LLC.  "Being an entrepreneur has been my passion and for the most part, my hobby.  I am dedicated to providing our law-abiding citizens and public service personnel (Police, Fire & EMS) with the tools and knowledge needed to protect them from harm's way when seconds count".  

 

Leon served over 20 years as a North Carolina paramedic and retired his service after serving in Iraq in 2006 and 2007 as a remote medic.  He has 25 + years of law enforcement service. He is a certified Advanced Law Enforcement (ALE) officer.  He served seven years as a SWAT medic and field training officer.  He is a certified General instructor, Specialized Firearms instructor, and a specialized First Responder instructor through the North Carolina Department of Justice (DOJ).  He is a CPR, AED, and First Aid instructor through the America Heart Association (AHA) and a defensive tactics manager.  He has instructed hundreds of police cadets and DOC workers in North Carolina.  His primary goal is protection through knowledge, training, and a proper mindset.

 

Leon is a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation {NSSF}, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), US Law Shield, and the North Carolina Law Enforcement Training Officer Association (NCLETO).  He has served on the North Carolina Department of Justice (DOJ) Training and Standards First Responder’s revision committee, twice. He also has served on several committees to enhance the quality of life, including project Lazarus, Boys Scout of America explorer adviser of the year, and recognized by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) as an active supporter.  

 

His education includes but not limited to Health Management, Supervisor Liability Training,

FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, and West Point Leadership Program through Methodist University.

 

In 2019 we opened our new sports facility with over 51,000 Sq/Ft of space. We welcome and support our responsible citizens, military, law enforcement, fire, and EMS services.  We are open to the public with free membership.

Training Is Our Top Service!  I only specialize in specific areas.  They are, Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH), Safe Gun Handling through the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Combat Courses, Self Defense, and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care.  My training classes are intense, realistic, and exciting.  I am licensed to manufacture, sell explosives by the Federal ATF.  Our explosives assist us in injuries and combat training.  Our mock bleeding wounds match up to some of Hollywood's scariest movie scenes.

My sales reps and I only endorse and provide products that work in real-life situations.  Self Defense technology and products that could save your life when seconds count!  Our Vest Trauma Kits are law enforcement preferred and our All-In-One First Responder bags are in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 and 29 CFR 1910.1030.
